Kroppefjäll B&B is situated in a park at the edge of a vast forest area in the heart of Dalsland. Here, it is easy to get outdoors and find things to do for the whole family. For exemple, we strongly recommend Doctor Saedén’s Runda; a 100 year old trail leading through enchanting nature and with magnificent views. Along the trail you will find monuments dating from the days of the Sanatorium. A quiz-walk along the trail will involve and challenge both the young and old. At Kroppefjäll you will also find the newly opened Kroppefjäll Dog Park – with a gym and a large enrichement enclousure for you and your family to discover together. This is a place to stimulate your dogs natural behavior such as to sniff, dig, jump, balance, seek, sneek and play.

In the park, there is a beautiful lake that offers ice-skating when the winter is at its best and baths year around. When the snow conditions are good, the local ski club makes cross country tracks, that are lit in the evening and pass just a few hundred meters from our bed and breakfast, during warmer weathers it’s the perfect walk through the woods. Just a 20 minute walk down into the village you can visit the old model station house. The station house is a half size replica of the old train station, perfect for kids and adventurous adults. Borrow the key for a small fee from the local shop ‘Byxfickans Livs’ next door to the station.

We encourage tou to try cooking your meals outdoors over an open fire! There are several campfire spots in the park or you can use our kitchen inside if you prefer so. Your evening meal is supplied with all the ingredients and utensils needed to prepare it yourself, just follow the easy recipe.  Even the lunch-box, which just needs to be warmed, is perfect to take with you out into the forest. This will make great memories for you and the kids! (Of course we strive to use as much local, sustainably made products, as possible.)
